Legacy Systems

You might find yourself stuck with a legacy system that was built many years ago and the person or company who built it has long since moved on.

We can explore these systems with you and help to either resurrect them, replace them, or make changes to bring them in line with your modern business processes.

Sometimes a legacy system may need to remain in place to support other systems (e.g. manufacturing processes). In this case the best course of action is to commission a replacement system with the modern bells and whistles you require, and then create a bespoke integration to maintain the flow of data into the legacy system.

Data

Clients often have data stored on legacy systems and this is the main barrier to upgrading or replacing outdated systems. As the years go on and more things shift to the cloud, this becomes more tedious, expensive and risky to maintain.

We have a lot of experience in moving data from A to B and sanitising it.

Rates

Complicated topic but you need to know. We can work with you on an ad-hoc basis on a day rate. Prices vary based on whether we work remotely or visit you in-house.

For bigger projects, particularly those requiring oversight, we will work with you to build a scope of work and agree a fixed price.

We also work with some clients on a monthly retainer basis which is particularly helpful when you are growing and not quite at the point of needing a full-time IT Director / CTO in house.
